Aug. 27, 2012- The 2012-13 school year marks the 75th anniversary of the Klein Independent School District (ISD). During the summer, a committee consisting of district employees, administrators and members of the Klein community was formed to begin planning for activities and events throughout the year.
History
In 1849, German immigrants, led by Adam Klein, settled this area in the northern part of Harris County. Shortly thereafter, a bustling farming community emerged and became known as Klein. In 1938, the school district was officially named the Klein Independent School District in honor of Adam Klein. Since that time, the area has transformed into a thriving suburban region, filled with a variety of businesses and amenities that make Klein an optimal location for families to settle and establish strong roots.
