District Announces Meet the Teacher Dates

Schools across the district will begin hosting Meet the Teacher information nights in August. These nights provide an opportunity for parents and students to meet with their teachers, take tours of the school, drop off purchased school supplies, and more. Student Orientations Kick-off Next Month

Klein ISD high school and intermediate campuses will host freshman or sixth grade orientation activities in August, prior to the start of school on Monday, Aug. 21, 2017. Several intermediate campuses will also host orientations for seventh and eighth-grade students. New high school and intermediate students are also encouraged to attend. This year, Klein Cain High School will also host orientation for its inaugural class of incoming freshman and sophomores.


Student orientation allows both the students and the parents to acclimate to every aspect of attending high school or transitioning to intermediate school. During the meetings, groups may tour the campus, get information about the school, receive academic advisement, participate in activities, visit with various clubs, and get counseling advice about transition, and more. The Klein Independent School District is excited to announce the launch of its new Family Onboarding website which will provide important information for not only families who are new to the district, but also for families looking for school-related information.

New Student Enrollment Opens Monday

Families new to Klein ISD are encouraged to enroll their students during the new student enrollment and registration dates taking place Monday, July 31, 2017 through Aug. 17, 2017.


Students new to the Klein ISD, who have not pre-registered for the 2017-18 school year must enroll at the school in their attendance zone. Please visit. or call the public information officer at 832-249-4172 for information regarding attendance zones. Students enrolled in a Klein ISD school during the 2016-17 school year are automatically enrolled for the 2017-18 school year; however, registration information must be updated. (see below)

All parents

New for the 2017-18 school year, all parents must update their online registration before Aug. 19, 2017. Instruction can be found online at Log in to Skyward Family Access (under the Quick Links section) to complete the registration.

2017 Varsity Football Ticket Information Now Available

Season ticket holders from the 2016 season may buy tickets for the 2017-18 school year starting July 31st - August 11th, 2017. New this year, tickets will be available for online only purchase through ExtremeTix. Current season ticket holders will receive a letter in the mail from Klein ISD Athletics and an email on July 31 from ExtremeTix with a personal link to make your purchase. You may also click here for more information and a link to ExtremeTix. Season tickets will go on sale to the general public on Aug. 21, 2017, and must be purchased online.

Klein ISD Offers Free and Reduced-Price Lunches and Breakfasts

The Klein ISD will again offer free and reduced-price lunches and breakfasts to students eligible for the program during the 2017-2018 school year. Parents may contact their school for an instructional flyer to enroll their child/children in the program, or can complete the application online at


The 2017-2018 free and reduced priced meal application must be completed online at Klein ISD students who were on the program during June 2017, will continue on the program when school starts, but will be deleted from the program if a new application for the 2017-2018 school year is not submitted within 30 operating days from the first day of school.


The application must include the following:

  • total household income or SNAP/TANF case number       
  • names of all current Klein ISD students, with grade level and campus assignments
  • names of all household members
  • signature and the last four digits of the social security number (or mark “none” if not available) of one adult household member

The household income guidelines for determining free and reduced-price benefits are listed below:

All information provided on applications is handled confidentially and is used solely to determine eligibility and to verify data. The Klein ISD offers free and reduced-price lunches and breakfasts for those students who live in households in which family finances temporarily or permanently make them eligible.
