What is DATE?
A new state incentive program for school districts, named the District Awards for Teacher Excellence (DATE), has been created by the 79th Texas Legislature. Sixty percent of the funds must be used to award teachers for positively impacting student achievement. The remaining forty percent may be used for other staff, stipends, or other allowable activities.
