Mr. Petrek has over 31 years of combined experience in both public and educational accounting and has been with the District since September 1992. He served as a food service business supervisor for two years before joining the staff of the District's Finance Department as Budget Officer in June 1994.
Mr. Petrek received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas State University, San Marcos in 1979. He also holds the title of Certified Public Accountant, which he received in November 1982, and his RTSBA (Registered Texas School Business Administrator) certification from the Texas Association of School Business Officials received in July 2002.
