K-8 Technology Applications TEKS

In grades K through 8 the Technology Applications TEKS – a required curriculum for all K-8 Texas students – are taught as an integrated component of all four core content subjects. The educational technology department works with campus administrators and each school’s Instructional Technology Liaison teachers to assure that all students are provided ample opportunity to master the K-8 Technology Applications TEKS. High School Technology Applications TEKS
At the high school level, the Technology Applications TEKS are taught through specified higher level technology courses, including Computer Science, Video Technology, Web Mastering, Digital Graphics and Animation and Independent Study. The educational technology department, through its high school technology applications program coordinator, provides the leadership, support and collaborative opportunities for the high school technology applications teachers .
