The
Guidance Program focuses upon helping each student to have a feeling of
self-worth and dignity, helping the student to understand him/herself,
enabling the student to fully develop potential, and helping the student
to achieve greater self-direction in situations where he/she must
exercise choice.

Program Details:
The Elementary Guidance Program assists students to develop the skills they need to enhance their personal, social, educational, and career development. The scope of the services provided by the counselors includes:
- orientation to new environments
- individual and group counseling
- guidance activities
- information dissemination
- parental consultations
- referral to outside agencies
- other topic activities as deemed necessary and appropriate
Parents are encouraged to call the counselor for information or assistance on any matter concerning the students. For more information click on the Elementary Guidance Program link to the left.
The Secondary Guidance Program also assists students as they develop the skills they need to enhance their personal, social, educational, and career development. The scope of the services provided by the secondary counselors includes:
- orientation
- information dissemination
- individual and group counseling
- placement and scheduling
- pupil appraisal
- interpretation of state-mandated assessements
- identification of students with special abilities or needs
- parental consultations
- referrals to outside agencies
- Other topic activites as the deemed necessary and appropiate
