Family & Spectator Guidelines

Dear Klein ISD Athletics Parents and Spectators,

We take pride in our talented athletes and dedicated coaches in Klein ISD, who are striving daily to display “Excellence in Athletics.” We expect outstanding sportsmanship and performance from our athletes and coaches, as well as exemplary conduct from parents, families, and all spectators who come to support our teams.

With many sports already in full swing and football starting this week, we felt it would be a great time to share our expectations for attendance at Klein ISD games. To support our athletes, coaches, and families, we kindly ask that you always adhere to the following guidelines while attending our sporting events.

  • Support and Respect for All Participants: The best way to support your team is by showing respect for players, coaches, officials, and opponents. Recognize their efforts and refrain from degrading or intimidating anyone involved.

  • Respect for Officials: Always respect the integrity and judgment of officials. Understand that they are present to enforce the rules of the game, and never ridicule or criticize them for their decisions.

  • Promote Positive and Responsible Behavior: Lead by example through positive actions and respectful conduct. Encourage a supportive atmosphere and ensure that everyone around you enjoys the event in a respectful and uplifting environment.

A comprehensive list of all spectator expectations can also found on page 6 of the UIL Sportsmanship Manual linked above.

Please understand that Klein ISD Athletics has zero tolerance for any type of verbal or physical altercations. Individuals who participate in verbal or physical altercations will be removed from the athletic event and may lose the privilege of attending future events.

If you have any questions, please contact your athlete's coach, school administrator, or the office of Klein ISD District Athletics. Thank you for your support and cooperation in making our athletic events a positive experience for everyone involved.

Best Regards,
Brandon Baker | Klein ISD Executive Director of Athletics
