The idea of Culture 4 Caring was born in an effort to make each member of our community feel valued. We wanted to create a welcoming and accepting environment in which every individual is acknowledged and appreciated. Our inspiration for this was how the Klein Community came together to care for each other after Hurricane Harvey. What if everyday were like that? What if we all took care of each other everyday regardless of who we were or where we came from because it was the right thing to do? What if no one ever felt lonely, or left out or uncared for? How amazing would it be if we created a community where everyone thought about the needs of every person, every day? It would be amazing.
As students we chose to strengthen the culture of Klein through our shared vision. That we, as students, will create a community for caring inside our schools so that every student feels included. The vision is divided into Five Pillars of Caring: originality, unity, kindness, culture, and equality.
Culture 4 Caring is a student-created and student-led organization comprised of student leaders from every campus.
Each campus follows the mission, actions, and activities established by the District Student Leadership Committee. The Campus Culture 4 Caring Leadership Committee sponsors challenges and activities each quarter focusing on the pillars above. Campuses who complete a minimum of five activities during the school year receive the Culture 4 Caring Distinction honor for the following school year.
