Foster Care Support
Klein ISD is committed to working alongside campus staff, teachers, the Department of Family & Protective Services, families and students in order to ensure that every student served through foster care enters with a promise and exits with a purpose.
Each campus has a designated Foster Care Champion. Additionally, we partner and train community members who serve as surrogate parents.
Campus staff are trained annually in Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Intervention (NCPI) strategies, as well as trauma informed practices.
