Family Curriculum Guides

Advanced Math in Intermediate School

Klein ISD offers an advanced mathematics program for middle school students designed to prepare students to enroll in Algebra I by the eighth grade. Rising 6th-grade students who perform in the top 40% on the 5th-grade STAAR Math test will be automatically enrolled in one of our advanced math pathways. However, parents have the choice to opt out of this automatic enrollment.
