General Education Homebound Services

Klein ISD provides face-to-face homebound instruction to students who are confined to a home or hospital bed due to a chronic medical condition which prevents them from attending school regularly. In order to qualify for general education homebound services, the following criteria must be met:

  1. The student is expected to be confined at home or a hospital bedside for a minimum of four weeks. The weeks need not be consecutive.
  2. The student is confined at home or hospital bedside for medical reasons only.
  3. The student’s medical condition is documented by a physician licensed to practice in the United States.

To make a request for the district to consider homebound services for your student, please contact your child’s campus counselor or school administrator.
