General Education Homebound Services
Klein ISD provides face-to-face homebound instruction to students who are confined to a home or hospital bed due to a chronic medical condition which prevents them from attending school regularly. In order to qualify for general education homebound services, the following criteria must be met:
- The student is expected to be confined at home or a hospital bedside for a minimum of four weeks. The weeks need not be consecutive.
- The student is confined at home or hospital bedside for medical reasons only.
- The student’s medical condition is documented by a physician licensed to practice in the United States.
To make a request for the district to consider homebound services for your student, please contact your child’s campus counselor or school administrator.
