KLEIN, TEXAS – Brill received a Klein ISD Education Foundation (KEF) grant for the Bronco B.R.O.S.  (Building Responsible Outstanding Scholars) program to support 4th and 5th-grade boys in developing leadership, character, and life skills essential for success.

In a surprise visit orchestrated by the KEF Celebration Express, the school was honored with the grant in the presence of Foundation directors, community members, and our esteemed Superintendent, Dr. Jenny McGown.

Amidst an atmosphere of joy and excitement, the Brill staff welcomed numerous Foundation supporters disembarking from the Celebration Express school bus. They presented substantial grants to recipients across the district, including Brill Elementary.

The elementary school will use the Bronco B.R.O.S. grant sponsored by Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott to serve 20 students through engaging discussions, guest speakers, and hands-on reflection activities. The goal is to empower these students to become confident young leaders who contribute positively inside and outside the classroom.

A vital component of the program will be the student-led Bronco B.R.O.S. podcast. Students will plan, produce, and record episodes covering themes like leadership, public speaking, conflict resolution, and more. The podcast will allow members to apply these skills, share their growth, and uniquely connect with the school community. The podcast and other activities, such as engaging in book discussions, provide a clear path to developing strong leaders prepared for future success.

"We are deeply grateful for this grant, which brings the Bronco B.R.O.S. program to life at Brill,” Klein Education Foundation President Bill Lakin said. “This initiative is more than a club—it’s a journey to empower young boys as leaders, build character, and develop skills that will last a lifetime. Thank you for believing in our vision to inspire and uplift these future changemakers."

This fall, the KEF Celebration Express distributed grants totaling $61,357, enriching educational experiences for our learners. These grants encompass various innovative and engaging projects, from interactive technology tools to writing conferences. The Fall 2024 grant recipients are innovative and serve as a source of inspiration.

We sincerely thank all our grant sponsors who have made these initiatives possible. Your support plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational journey of every Klein ISD student.

The Klein ISD Education Foundation accepts grant applications biannually, encouraging, facilitating, and acknowledging creative projects that drive academic success for our Klein ISD students.
