Calling All Art Enthusiasts: Register for the Adventure Park Art STEAM Challenge Today!
The Klein ISD STEAM Express is excited to launch an adventure park art challenge, inviting students to submit artwork featuring amusement and recreational parks. The winning entries will grace the interior of the STEAM Express, reaching over 35,000 students over the next two years!
Adventure park topics could include, but are not limited to, amusement parks, recreational parks, botanical gardens, adventure parks, zoos, ropes courses, and water parks!
Registration:
To sign up for this challenge, please fill out this form. This lets us know who will participate so we can send periodic messages to encourage you during the competition.
Hint: The more original the idea, the more likely it is to be a winning entry. If twenty people submit a picture of a roller coaster, only one has the possibility of being selected.
Selections will be chosen from all grade levels of students (K-2, 3-5, Intermediate, and High School). Please sign up by November 15, 2024.
Submit Project:
To submit a drawing, please fill out this Google form. You will be asked to take a picture and upload it to the form. We will not collect your project at any time, so it's important that you submit the best picture possible.
Rules:
The drawing must be your original work.
You may work in partnership with another person on this project. This is not required.
All projects must be turned in by January 15, 2025, at 11:59 pm.
It is recommended that the colors shown in your drawing be very clear. Colored pencils are allowed but can often be very light to see.
Drawings can be done using both physical and digital sources.
Drawings should be done using the dimensions of a standard 8 ½” X 11” piece of paper.
All questions about the project can be directed to Marc Williams, the STEAM Express Coordinator, at mwilliams5@kleinisd.net.
All drawings should reflect the honor code of Klein ISD, including dress and actions.
Please put your name(s) and school in the bottom right corner of your project.
Judging:
Judging will be conducted by a committee of community members, Klein Education Foundation board members, students, teachers, administrators, and district personnel in Klein ISD. The committee will select multiple winners.
We can’t wait to see your creative and adventurous designs!
