KLEIN, TX - Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown has been recognized as a Top 30 Influential Women of Houston honoree.

The Top 30 Influential Women of Houston award, sponsored by D-Mars Business Journal, celebrates the accomplishments of women who have all taken risks and remained courageous and resilient. Among leaders from finance, medicine, news, and other entrepreneurs, Dr. McGown joins this group of honorees who share a commitment to business growth, professional excellence, and the community they serve.

“We have all seen the great effort and dedication Dr. McGown demonstrates to ensure that every student in Klein is successful,” said Klein ISD Board President Rob Ellis. “I am proud to witness Dr. McGown’s leadership firsthand as a member of the Klein ISD school board and as a father of Klein ISD students. I know that Klein, Texas is better and stronger with her leading this amazing school district. Congratulations, Dr. McGown!”

Under her leadership, Klein ISD has been named a top community for music education, scholarship amounts earned by students have soared, and innovative, first-in-the-state college pathways have been created to allow students to earn a college degree and industry-level certifications while still in high school. Klein ISD has continued to excel in academics, arts, and athletics under Dr. McGown’s leadership and steadfast commitment to the Klein ISD Family. 

During her time as Superintendent, Dr. McGown has been recognized as the Region 4 Superintendent of the Year, Finalist for Texas Superintendent of the Year, Top Superintendent to Watch by National School Public Relations Associations (NSPRA), and just recently was honored as Most Admired CEO by the Houston Business Journal.
