Dr. Stacy Norton Named September Distinguished Alumni
At the September meeting of the Board of Trustees, Klein Oak graduate Dr. Stacy Norton was honored as the Distinguished Klein ISD Alumni of the Month. Board Trustee Chris Todd nominated Dr. Norton for this honor.
Dr. Norton’s family moved to the Klein area shortly before she began sixth grade at Hildebrandt Intermediate. She went on to Klein High for her freshmen year before moving to Klein Oak High School and becoming part of the school’s first graduating class.
“She is not only a well-educated, brilliant servant-leader but also a devoted member of our Klein community who continues to bless and serve many people with her gifts and talents through her spirit of service,” Trustee Chris Todd said.
Dr. Norton is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OBGYN) who has been in practice for over 24 years, with the majority of that time spent at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. During this time she has delivered many babies who have become Klein ISD students. Additionally, she represents Houston Methodist every October, passing out Breast Cancer Awareness items at Klein ISD Varsity football games.
One of Dr. Norton’s passions is helping to educate the next generation of medical professionals. She provides guidance for students from Klein ISD HOSA and medical school students at Texas A&M. Currently, she is working to build the new OB/GYN residency program set to open next July.
“The ultimate privilege now is to be training the next generation and see all the HOSA students and all these brilliant students going on to their undergraduate and medical school careers,” Dr. Norton said. “It’s going to be very soon that the people I delivered will be our medical students and residents, and I’m very excited about that,”
Dr. Norton also has a multigenerational connection to our Klein Family. Her children, Zach and Courtney, attended Hassler Elementary, Doerre Intermediate, and graduated from Klein Oak High School. Additionally, her son grew from a Klein ISD student to a Klein ISD teacher who now serves at Hildebrandt Intermediate.
We are so grateful to have alumni like Dr. Stacy Norton in Klein ISD. Congratulations, Dr. Norton, for all you have accomplished and for being named the Klein ISD Distinguished Alumni for September 2024!
