Kaiser Elementary School Awarded $7,500 from KEF for 'Tiny Tech Explorers' Grant
KLEIN, TEXAS – Kaiser Elementary School has received a $7,500 grant from the Klein ISD Education Foundation (KEF) for the "Tiny Tech Explorers" program, an innovative project designed to enhance early learning through interactive technology tools.
In a surprise visit orchestrated by the KEF Celebration Express, the school was honored with the grant in the presence of Foundation directors, community members, and our esteemed Superintendent, Dr. Jenny McGown.
Amidst an atmosphere of joy and excitement, the Kaiser Elementary staff welcomed numerous Foundation supporters disembarking from the Celebration Express school bus. They presented substantial grants to recipients across the district, including Kaiser Elementary School.
Sponsored by Pogue Construction and written by teachers Sara Pedraza, Joyce Perez, Alicia Alvarado, Maritza Gonzalez, and Alejandra Cruz, the "Tiny Tech Explorers" program aims to integrate technology into the kindergarten classroom to support writing, reading, and math through engaging station-based activities. The project addresses the critical need for innovative, hands-on learning that captures the attention of today’s learners.
With the support of campus instructional specialists and the district’s digital learning department, kindergarten teachers will implement rotating stations where students can engage in different subjects using interactive technology tools. These stations will provide differentiated learning opportunities that cater to various learning styles, ensuring that each student’s unique needs are met.
“The KEF is excited to award this innovative grant, empowering educators to integrate technology into the early learning classrooms, where it will inspire young minds and support foundational skills,” KEF Director Christy Spisak said.
This fall, the KEF Celebration Express distributed grants totaling $61,357, enriching educational experiences for our learners. These grants encompass various innovative and engaging projects, from interactive technology tools to writing conferences. The Fall 2024 grant recipients are innovative and serve as a source of inspiration.
We sincerely thank all our grant sponsors for making these initiatives possible. Your support plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational journey of every Klein ISD student.
The Klein ISD Education Foundation accepts grant applications biannually, encouraging, facilitating, and acknowledging creative projects that drive academic success for our Klein ISD students.
