Klein ISD Athletes Victorious at UIL State Track & Field

KLEIN, TEXAS - Talented Track & Field athletes representing each of our five high schools showcased their skills and dedication at the 2024 UIL State Track & Field Competition, securing notable placements. Amidst intense competition, Klein ISD athletes once again affirmed that our district excels not only in Academics and Fine Arts but also in outstanding Athletics.
Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown commends these student-athletes for their remarkable achievements and for embodying the district's dedication to excellence.
“We could not be more proud of these incredibly gifted student-athletes who stood out at the state as a result of their hard work and sacrifice,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “These students, along with their dedicated coaches, continue to represent Klein ISD Athletics with excellence.”
It is rewarding to watch our athletes excel, especially these talented track stars, at the state level. Klein ISD Executive Director of Athletics and Student Services Brandon Baker echoes these sentiments, adding a special focus on Klein Forest student Lawson Jacobs and his clinching of the state championship title for the boys' 400-meter dash.
"We are immensely proud to witness the dedication and passion displayed by our coaches and student-athletes at this weekend's state track meet,” Mr. Baker said. “The tradition of excellence in Klein ISD track was upheld magnificently by these outstanding athletes. Notably, Lawson Jacobs' achievement in securing the 6A state championship in the 400-meter dash stands as a shining example of the caliber of talent and commitment within our teams."
