KLEIN, TX – Klein ISD celebrated the official dedication of the Flex School on Feb. 22, 2024. 
The facility serves as a secure and complete home away from home for our schools undergoing complete modernizations, ensuring uninterrupted learning in a safe environment.

"We are so blessed to have the Flex School as a safe place for our students and staff to learn and work as we do complete modernizations to their home schools,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “This school is an innovative educational environment, a testament to our commitment to excellence, innovation, and adaptability here in the Klein ISD. Many thanks to our outstanding Klein ISD Board and incredible Klein community for making this, and so many other great things, happen for kids by voting for the 2002 Bond.”

The Flex School welcomed the students of Northampton Elementary in August 2023. Led by Klein ISD Elementary Principal of the Year, Lisa Campbell, the school is a completely enclosed, modular campus that provides a safe environment for students. 

“When students leave this temporary home, they will be walking into new and improved versions of their home campuses," Principal Campbell said. "Their schools will be transformed into spaces where they can continue to learn and grow with every tool they need to reach their purpose. I cannot thank our Klein Community enough for their help in making this resource a reality."

For the foreseeable future, the school will be used by many other elementary schools aged 50 years and older as they undergo modernizations.
