Klein ISD Earns Prestigious ERP Honor Roll Recognition for 2023

Klein, TX – Klein ISD is proud to announce that our district and several of our schools have been named to the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll.

This prestigious recognition, presented in collaboration with the Texas Business Leadership Council (TBLC), highlights schools that have excelled in closing achievement gaps and elevating student success, particularly among historically underserved student populations. 

The ERP Honor Roll is the only school recognition program in Texas based solely on objective measures of student achievement. The program identifies schools that have consistently demonstrated high levels of academic performance, improvement over time, and success in closing achievement gaps among student populations. This recognition is part of a broader national effort to highlight educational excellence and promote best practices across the country.

Klein ISD has been honored as a Star District, with the following schools earning Star School status:

• Kreinhop Elementary
• Kuehnle Elementary
• Mahaffey Elementary
• Metzler Elementary
• Mueller Elementary
• Nitsch Elementary
• Roth Elementary
• Theiss Elementary
• Hofius Intermediate
• Krimmel Intermediate

“We are incredibly proud of this outstanding recognition that reflects the dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, and staff,” Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “This honor underscores our commitment to providing every student an excellent learning experience so they exit Klein ISD with limitless opportunities and prepared for success.”

This year marks the ninth year that ERP has celebrated the achievements of top public schools, districts, and charter schools.

“This year’s Honor Roll shines a positive light on schools where students are learning the fundamental skills that employers value and look for,” ERP Board Chair Dan Kinney said. “We are proud to recognize these high-performing schools and look forward to learning from their best practices in accelerating student learning in critical areas such as reading, writing, and math.”
