Klein ISD Holds Dedication Ceremony for Klein Cain
It was a packed house for the dedication of Klein Cain High School. The 665,000 square-foot campus is named after recently retired Klein ISD Superintendent and long-time educator, Dr. Jim Cain.
Dr. Cain began his career in public education more than 47 years ago in his home state of Illinois. He started his career in Klein ISD in 1978 as the Benfer Elementary assistant principal. During his tenure, he held several administrative positions in the district including principal at Greenwood Forest Elementary, assistant principal at Hildebrandt Intermediate and Klein Oak High School, principal at Nitsch Elementary, instructional officer for technology, director of school administration, and associate superintendent of school administration. In 2004, Cain was named the superintendent and served the staff and students for 12 years.

"Being here 36 years, I have worked with a lot of really talented and dedicated people," said Cain. " When I think back to the folks that I have known for all those years, it's just amazing to know the number of people."
The dedication ceremony featured a performance by the Klein Cain choir who led guests in The Star-Spangled Banner. During the event, Commissioner Jack Cagle's office issued a Proclamation to the Cain family. Board President Bill Pilkington presented the family with the Resolution and Coat of Arms.
Dr. Cain, a servant leader, leaves behind a lasting legacy that will forever be evident at Klein Cain High School.
