122 Klein ISD students have been recognized as Regional Scholastic Writing Award Winners for 2024-2025. Klein ISD has 51 Gold Key Winners from 11 schools and 71 Silver Key Winners from 12 schools.

The Scholastic Writing Awards are among the most prestigious writing awards in the nation. Klein ISD is no stranger to receiving recognition for Scholastic Writing, and students advance to compete at the national level every year.

"The remarkable talent and dedication of our student-writers fills me with pride," Instructional Officer for Core Academics - ELA Lisa Robinson said. "Their success is a testament to the nurturing guidance of their teachers, who have empowered them to share their unique perspectives."

According to the Harris County Department of Education, schools submit their best student writing to compete at the regional level. These entries are then judged by several panels of highly qualified professionals who select Gold Key, Silver Key, or Honorable Mention recipients. The Gold Key award recipients go on to compete at the national level.
