Klein Oak Students Named Best Artificial Intelligence Coders in US, Top 10 in World
KLEIN, TX - A group of Klein Oak scholars participated in the Microsoft Imagine Cup Junior competition, where they were named the top team in the US and one of the top 10 in the world.
Competing against participants from over 100 countries, Klein Oak students Sid Sannabhadti, Ziya Momin, Andy Jiang, and Smruti Sannabhadti confidently took on the Artificial Intelligence (AI) coding competition as part of their team named the “Hacktivists of Wall Street.”
For their project, the team created an AI-powered solution called “Educate AI.” This innovative tool addresses the needs of students with learning disabilities and those who cannot afford private tutors by creating notes and quizzes from any video in any language.
“We believe strongly that people with learning disabilities deserve the same opportunity to succeed,” Klein Oak junior Sid Sannabhadti said. “With the technology we’ve built, students can succeed without feeling limited by their learning difficulties or lack of access to resources.”
Microsoft’s Imagine Cup Junior competition aims to allow students to learn about technology and how it can solve many problems in the world.
“I am blown away by this tremendous accomplishment by our outstanding Klein Oak students,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “I could not be more proud that they chose to find a way to make their ideas into a reality for the good of others. Their idea is a testament to our values in Klein ISD. Congratulations to this fantastic team of scholars!”
Congratulations to these outstanding scholars! Your Klein Family is proud to have difference-makers like you.
