Kuehnle Mathematicians Connect the Dots on the Way to Academic Success

The 5th graders at Kuehnle made it a point to show off their math skills when they made a human number line with decimals!
Ms. Skibinski’s class is learning about decimals and looking at the ones, tenths, and hundredths places to figure out the order. This is one skill that the students need to learn before moving on to adding and subtracting decimals.
“We made a human number line, and we had to order decimals from least to greatest,” Kuehnle 5th Grader Blake said. “It was hard near the front of the line because there were so many numbers that started the same, and we had to look in the hundredth place.”

We love seeing our students up and engaged in their learning. Our teachers are dedicated to ensuring each lesson is hands-on and memorable for our students.

“It was fun because we got to communicate with each other and learn together,” Blake said.

In elementary math classes, our Kids in Klein learn foundational skills that prepare them for advanced math classes they take in intermediate and high school. Through interactive activities like the one at Kuehnle, our teachers empower students to become persistent problem solvers and critical thinkers.

We encourage families to be involved in their student’s academic progress. For an overview of what your child will be learning in each quarter and how you can best support their academic growth, view the Family Curriculum Guides.

We are so proud of our students and their commitment to academic success!
