Klein, TX – After 15 years of service to the Klein ISD Board of Trustees, distinguished Klein ISD Trustee Ronnie Anderson has retired, choosing not to run for reelection.

A resident of Klein since 1974, Mr. Anderson proudly attended Haude, Theiss, Strack, Kleb, and graduated from Klein High School. He was elected to the Klein ISD Board of Trustees in November 2009, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey as a Board Member dedicated to the promise and purpose of every student.

“During his time as a board member, Ronnie has shown us what it looks like to lead with truth and strength, always keeping kids at the center of his decision-making. Long before he was a trustee, Ronnie has been loyal and true to this place we are so blessed to call home and his Bearkat pride shines in every room he’s in,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. McGown said. “His faith and commitment to the kids, staff, and families of Klein ISD throughout his time as board member rang true for all 15 years of his service, and for that among so many other things, I am grateful for him.”

Mr. Anderson was celebrated for his service and dedication to our Klein ISD kids, teachers, and community with a clap-out as he walked into his last board meeting as a Klein ISD Board Trustee. Additionally, Representative Sam Harless was in attendance and presented him with a Texas flag that was flown over the State Capitol in appreciation of Mr. Anderson’s service to the Klein ISD community.

“I think what makes him so unique is that growing up in Klein, he understands the heritage,” Klein ISD Board President Cathy Arellano said. “He understands those deep roots, and now he’s one of those deep roots. I think that is so very important, and we’re going to miss him.”

Congratulations to Mr. Ronnie Anderson on his retirement. Klein ISD students, families, and staff are forever grateful for your contribution and positive impact on our school district and our community.
