In a show of support for the next generation of automotive innovators, Randall Reed’s Planet Ford and Ford Motor Company have donated two brand-new Lincoln Aviators to Klein ISD's Automotive Technology Programs, one to Klein Oak High School and one to Klein Cain High School.

"I was speechless when I saw the Lincoln Aviator roll into our shop. Not every day you get to learn on a vehicle like that — and it means the world to us," Klein Oak student Kaden DeBusk said. "This donation from Randall Reed's Planet Ford isn't just a gift; it's a message: my future matters, and people believe in us. It's given us new excitement and motivation to push ourselves and grow in the automotive industry. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity and support in helping us build real skills for our future careers."

This exciting contribution comes through the Ford Automotive Career Exploration (ACE) program. It builds on a strong partnership that began with the district's participation in the inaugural Houston Automobile Dealers Association (HADA) Auto Tech Competition.

"What an amazing feeling to receive a donated vehicle from Planet Ford; their partnership with us bridges the gap between classroom theory and real-world application," Klein Cain Automotive Technology Instructor Henry Silva said.  "It's the kind of experience that can change our Automotive students' career trajectory, giving them hands-on exposure to the kinds of vehicles they'll work on in the industry."

With access to the latest automotive technology, diagnostics, and repair procedures, students will gain hands-on experience that mirrors what's happening in industry-leading service bays nationwide.

"We are incredibly grateful to Planet Ford and Ford Motor Company for their unwavering dedication to our students' success," Klein ISD Career & Technical Education Director Deborah Bronner-Westerduin said. "This generous donation equips our learners with real-world tools and experiences to prepare them for a thriving future in the automotive industry."

By placing cutting-edge vehicles directly into the hands of students, this partnership highlights the incredible things that happen when education and industry come together

Thank you to our generous donors and the staff at Planet Ford for your contribution. A huge thank  you to our hardworking and dedicated CTE team and teachers in Klein ISD, who always keep students at the center of what they do.
