Strack and Doerre Headed to Academic Pentathlon National Competition
Klein ISD

KLEIN, TEXAS — Both Strack and Doerre Intermediate have secured spots in the National Academic Pentathlon competition, with Strack headed to Phoenix to compete in person and Doerre competing online.

Strack earned 1st place in the 7th and 8th-grade categories at the Academic Pentathlon Regional competition.

Doerre’s 8th-grade team earned 2nd place at the Academic Pentathlon Regional online competition. The online format allows schools to compete remotely.

Students from both schools have demonstrated exceptional knowledge, critical thinking, and teamwork throughout the year. Their unwavering dedication and relentless hard work have paid off, securing them the top spot in both grade levels.

Excelling in the Academic Pentathlon, renowned for its rigorous challenges in five core subjects: mathematics, literature, fine arts, science, and social science, is no easy task.

The entire school district joins in celebrating these. These outstanding students exemplify the spirit of academic excellence, teamwork, and perseverance.

We wish them the best of luck as they continue their journey.

We also want to thank our Program Coordinator, Aira Akutagawa, who has worked hard all year long with these fantastic teams. Your guidance and planning have truly made a difference for our students!
