Trevor Tran – 2022 Klein Oak Salutatorian

Klein Oak Senior and Salutatorian Trevor Tran is one scholar you don’t want to miss! This student is well-equipped and ready to show the word he is prepared for anything to come his way. 

“Trevor is the definition of a true Renaissance man. He has a kind heart and compassion for humanity,” Trevor’s teacher, Ms. Evelyn Dino-Slaughter said. “His sophistication in understanding the world, strength of character, and maturity are beyond his years. His formidable spirit and sense of equilibrium in life are admirable, and I’m very excited for his future. It was a pleasure to have him in class, and I’m deeply honored to be his teacher.”

Trevor is a multi-talented scholar and displays this trait both inside and outside the classroom. He keeps busy with the National Honor Society, Klein Oak Varsity Swim, SSAN Swim Club, Klein Oak Men’s Volleyball team, and more!

He serves his campus in the roles of National Honor Society President, Klein Oak Junior Class President, SSAN National Group, and Panthers Helping People Secretary. 

Community service is an important part of Trevor’s life and the dedicated senior enjoys serving others through the National Honor Society, Panthers Helping People, Environmental Awareness Club, and the Houston Foodbank.

“Participating in and leading great organizations like the National Honor Society gave me the responsibility that forced me to think of greater things that were bigger than my problems and to work together with amazing groups of people,” Trevor said. “Lastly, thank you to my teachers and friends who made my days bearable and my transition into the U.S. a lot of fun. I thank you and will miss you all deeply.”

After graduating from Klein Oak, Trevor plans to study Biomedical Engineering at UT Austin and attend medical school.
