The Klein ISD Board of Trustees recognized an outstanding Zwink Elementary educator and two outstanding students at the February Board meeting for their dedication to success in the classroom.

Zwink Elementary fifth-grade Dual Language teacher Ms. Maricela Cole is a results-driven educator with high expectations for her students. Ms. Cole is a standout teacher who takes a personalized approach to education and leaves a lasting impression on students year after year.

“Ms. Cole relentlessly pursues student success,” Zwink Elementary Principal Stacy Vaglienty said. “She maintains high expectations for every student in both academics and character. We are so proud of Ms. Cole and her amazing achievements in her classroom.”

Jaxon is a fifth-grader who goes above and beyond and is a shining example of Zwink’s core values, serving as a role model to his peers. When he is not in the classroom, Jaxon is an active member of the school’s choir and Leadership Academy.

“He holds dear educational excellence, as well as does a great job of fostering student relationships through prize relationships,” Zwink teacher Ms. Kaytana Richardson said. “He uplifts the classroom and encourages others, too.”

Fifth-grader Laila is a student of great character who enjoys being involved in her school and community. She constantly shows well-rounded excellence in everything she does, whether in the Leadership Academy or playing her cello in fifth-grade strings.

“Laila is an outstanding individual who not only meets but exceeds expectations in her academic pursuits and community involvement,” Zwink teacher Ms. Jessica Karpiuk said. “I’m confident her continued contributions will have a lasting impact on Zwink.”

These Zwink Zebras are truly inspirational! Congratulations, Ms. Cole, Jaxon, and Laila, your Klein Family is so proud of you.
