Klein, Texas—During her time at Klein Forest High School, salutatorian Jennifer Luc has embraced every opportunity to learn, lead, and build lasting connections. From the classroom to the community, Jennifer’s four-year journey in Klein ISD has been marked by hard work, vibrant involvement, and meaningful relationships that shaped her into the future-ready leader she is today.

At Klein Forest, Jennifer actively engaged in both academic and service-based organizations. She contributed to the Programming Team, Esports, and the Science National Honor Society, where she participated in science fair competitions. Her leadership extended to the Key Club, where she served as a Service Coordinator, helping organize initiatives that supported local nonprofits like the Houston Food Bank, Friends of the Houston Public Library, and the New Destiny Food Drive. She also gave her time to the Filipino Festival, Girls in STEM, and the Children's Museum—embodying the heart of a servant leader.

Jennifer is also a member of the National Honor Society and Asian Culture Club, where she celebrated heritage, collaboration, and curiosity.

“Jennifer was one of those rare students that I have had the pleasure to teach who not only was truly successful through her relentless work ethic, but she also showed a desire and passion for learning that will make her successful in all her future endeavors,” Jennifer’s honored educator, Mr. Jonathan Ritter said.

Jennifer credits her teachers, especially Juan Duran and Jonathan Ritter, for shaping her Klein Forest experience with encouragement and humor.

“Mr. Duran’s humor and the occasional memes always gave me a reason to smile,” Jennifer said. “And when I first met Mr. Ritter in freshman Human Geography, I never expected to form such a strong bond with a teacher so early on. His classroom became a place where I could breathe, learn, and feel safe. I’ll always be grateful for the support and kindness he offered throughout the years.”

As she reflects on her time in Klein ISD, Jennifer cherishes the friendships, laughter, and learning that have defined her journey—and looks ahead to the future with purpose and promise.

“Over the course of my four years in Klein ISD, I’ve encountered many life-long memories with my friends and teachers. I’ve forged many friendships throughout the years, whether it be with my fellow peers or my memorable teachers,” Jennifer said. “As I move on to the next step after high school at Texas A&M College Station, I aspire to work in Computer Science and collaborate with other talented people in the same field.”

Congratulations, Jennifer! Your Klein Family is proud of your accomplishments, and we’re cheering you on as you take the next steps toward a bright future in STEM and service.
