Rising Standards, Continued Excellence
In 2023, the Texas Education Agency reset the state accountability rating system to more challenging academic performance standards. Despite the challenges of new tests, increased standards, and scoring changes, Klein ISD remains ahead of the curve. Since the increased performance standards were established by the State in 2023, Klein ISD has seen a:
30% increase in A-rated schools
13% increase in B-rated schools
55% decrease in C-rated schools
Additionally, no Klein ISD schools earned an overall D or F rating in 2025.
“Earning an ‘A’ in College, Career, and Military Readiness is proof that we are living out our shared vision of every student exiting with a purpose, well-prepared to succeed in life after graduation,” Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “I’m so proud of our students and educators for their dedication and hard work that continues to yield improved results.”
