Klein, TX—Three Klein ISD Intermediate schools have been named National Mark of Excellence project winners by the Foundation for Music Education.
The Foundation for Music Education, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and advancing music education, gathers entries from different choirs, bands, and orchestras at the middle and high school levels from all over the United States.
"I couldn't be more proud of this outstanding accomplishment by Krimmel, Kleb, and Ulrich Intermediate,” Superintendent Dr. McGown said. “The National Mark of Excellence is a testament to the incredible dedication and talent of our student musicians and their directors. I commend our music educators for their commitment to making their music halls and Klein ISD a place where our tradition of excellence in the arts thrives.”
This national award program seeks to identify and honor music programs and ensembles demonstrating exceptional musical skill and artistry. Each year, schools from across the United States submit recordings of their performances for consideration. A panel of respected educators and music professionals then evaluates these submissions.
Ensembles that receive the Mark of Excellence Award represent the pinnacle of musical achievement, showcasing the highest standards in their performances
"We are incredibly proud of our band and orchestra programs and the well-rounded education they provide,” Klein ISD Director of Fine Arts Frank Chuter said. “These honors are another great example of the excellence present throughout the Klein ISD Fine Arts."
Congratulations to all our incredible bands, orchestras, and directors for their outstanding achievements!
