emt student helps other student

Over 300 Klein ISD students have earned vital health science certifications through the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Health Science Pathways program, showcasing their readiness to enter the healthcare workforce with essential skills and hands-on experience.

In today’s job market, certifications are crucial for employment and career advancement. Klein ISD’s program provides students with theoretical knowledge, experience, and industry-recognized certifications.

The program emphasizes real-world learning, allowing students to participate actively in clinical rotations, internships, and simulations. They gain practical experience in taking vital signs, providing first aid, and learning medical terminology.

Students can earn certifications such as CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified EKG Technician (CET), and Pharmacy Technician. Each certification opens numerous career opportunities in healthcare.

These certifications can lead to further education in nursing or other health professions or help students start working immediately. Many students use their certifications to secure jobs, contribute to their communities, and advance in their careers.

As we celebrate the achievements of the students who have completed the rigorous CTE Health Science Pathways, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the teachers, administrators, and industry partners who have played a pivotal role in making this possible.

Nearly 80 percent of students enrolled in the practicums went above and beyond the curriculum and earned their certifications this year.
