Klein Intermediate at board meeting

Two students and a teacher from Klein Intermediate were honored at the November Board of Trustees meeting for their hard work and excellence in the classroom.

Teacher, Mr. Daniel Ferriera, embodies the Klein ISD Promise2Purpose shared vision by being a servant leader who nurtures positive relationships with students and his school community. Serving as the department chair for Fine Arts, Mr. Ferreira’s impact can be felt throughout the school.

“Our engagement in the Fine Arts program has quadrupled since he joined us here in his few short years,” Klein Intermediate Principal Mr. Trevor Woolley said. “We have kids picking up instruments for the first time who have never had the opportunity to play music before. Dan is also the department chair of the Fine Arts. He is a leader among those teachers who serve our kids in that capacity, and he takes care of those teachers in a way that’s heartwarming to see.”

Ava is an outstanding scholar who goes above and beyond, even when she is succeeding. Her positive attitude and tenacity earn her recognition from both her peers and teachers.

“Ava is such a great student. She always thinks ‘we, not me.’ She always keeps her goals in mind,” Klein Intermediate Social Studies teacher Ms. Connie Guillory said. “She is one of those students who really goes out of her way to ensure that her best effort is put forward. Even though she masters the material, she still attends tutorials and helps her fellow classmates. Ava is just an awesome student, and I love being her teacher.”

For Victor, excellence is always the goal. While he has maintained a busy schedule and top grades, he also finds a way to be a leading example for his classmates. No matter the challenge, Victor sets a high standard.

“Something that really stands out about Victor is that he is always striving for excellence,” ELA teacher Ms. Yujin Seo said. “Even if that means adding one more thing to his already very full plate as a leader and someone who’s very involved in extracurricular activities. He’s taking his time to always make sure that whatever he turns in is his best work.”

Congratulations, Mr. Ferreira, Ava, and Victor, for showing true Falcon Pride in everything you do. Your dedication to success is inspirational to the Klein Family, and we are incredibly proud of you!
