The Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) is celebrating Klein ISD Krimmel Principal Carrie Farmer for being named a TMEA Distinguished Administrator.
The TMEA executive board established the Distinguished Administrator designation to recognize school administrators who have been instrumental in maintaining high-quality music education programs on their campuses and within their districts.
"I am proud to celebrate Principal Carrie Farmer, whose steadfast support of music education has created harmony between leadership, learning, and the limitless potential of students,” Klein ISD Director of Fine Arts Frank Chuter said. “We are lucky to have her in Klein ISD."
Since 1920, TMEA has been committed to promoting excellence in music education. The organization wholeheartedly believes that Texas is home to the best music educators and best music programs in the nation, and is well aware that their successes would not be possible without the strong support of administrators like Principal Farmer.
“I’m thrilled to congratulate Principal Carrie Farmer on earning the TMEA Distinguished Administrator Award,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “Carrie’s unwavering support of music education, her belief in our students, and her partnership with educators are transforming lives on and off the stage.”
Klein ISD remains at the forefront of Fine Arts education and was recently named the Best Community for Music Education for the 14th consecutive year and a District of Distinction by the Texas Art Education Association.
Congratulations to Principal Carrie Farmer and all the incredibly talented fine arts students and educators in Klein ISD. We are grateful for the unwavering support of families whose students are involved in the distinguished fine arts programs of Klein ISD.
