For the sixth consecutive year, Klein ISD Career & Technical Education (CTE) Health Science Programs proudly partnered with Houston Methodist Willowbrook (HMW) Nurse Residents to bring hope and help to our community through a meaningful outreach initiative. This year’s Holidays of Hope project once again supported H.O.P.E. Haven, a nonprofit organization committed to meeting the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness.
Health Science students from all five Klein ISD high schools led the effort, coordinating and executing a large-scale donation drive that reflects their dedication to service and their future roles in the healthcare field. More than 2,500 students across our Health Science programs contributed, representing:
Medical Science College Program
Emergency Medical Technician Program
Health Science Clinical Program
Biomedical Sciences Program
Pharmacy Program
Health Care Diagnostics Program
Thanks to the collective generosity of students, staff, and community partners, Klein ISD assembled over 1,250 fully stocked Survival Kits, each containing essential items such as toothbrushes, hand wipes, non-perishable food, and water bottles. Combined with contributions from the HMW Nurse Residents, the final total surpassed 2,000 Survival Kits.
These critical kits were presented to Kristyn Stillwell, Executive Director of H.O.P.E. Haven, and her team for distribution throughout the community to individuals who need them most.
Klein ISD CTE is honored to continue this annual tradition alongside Houston Methodist Willowbrook and H.O.P.E. Haven. Together, we demonstrate how education, partnership, and compassion can create lasting, positive change for our community.
We are so proud of these Health Science pathway students who are shining examples of what it means to have a servant's heart! Thank you to our community partners, Houston Methodist Hospital Willowbrook, H.O.P.E Haven, and our phenomenal students for all you do for the community!
