12 days of scholarships

Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown and her husband, Brian McGown, continue their scholarship fund for Klein ISD high school seniors for the third year, encouraging students to pursue their dreams of a college education.

“Brian and I are so blessed to be able to support students in the next chapter of their education,” Dr. McGown said. “It is a privilege to witness our young people pursuing a purpose for their life that makes the world a better place for all of us and brings pride to our Klein community.”

Five scholarships in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded to Klein ISD high school seniors who have achieved excellence in Klein ISD’s Triple A Promise: Academics, the Arts, and Athletics. Special consideration will be given to students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and service to the Klein, Texas community and who plan to attend Texas A&M University.

“Having grown up in this area, I am proud of the way our community has grown and yet never lost its small-town feel and sense of family,” Brian McGown said. “I’m always so impressed with our kids here in Klein, and to be able to invest in this generation, our future leaders, is a blessing to our family.”
