The Klein ISD Board of Trustees recognized two outstanding Ulrich Intermediate students and one remarkable staff member at the January board meeting for their dedication to classroom success.
Head Orchestra Director Ms. Marcelle Martin is an exceptional orchestra teacher known for her unwavering commitment to excellence and to developing the whole learner. Ms. Martin challenges students with engaging student-centered goals that encourage risk-taking, reflection, and innovation.
“She creates a safe and responsive environment where students feel a deep sense of trust, belonging, and Bulldog pride by utilizing her expertise to create personalized learning plans and pathways,” Ulrich Principal Ursula Hill said. “Ms. Martin leverages technology to connect, collaborate, and enhance learning across all fine arts disciplines, offering meaningful, musical opportunities beyond the classroom.”
Student Kayla will achieve greatness in all she does. She is goal-oriented, and her optimism is radiant. She is an outstanding student who consistently displays Bulldog pride through her integrity and pursuit of excellence. She excels in her advanced courses, showing strong academic focus, curiosity, and maturity beyond her years.
“She displays each of the attributes that we all strive for on our campus: perseverance, respect, integrity, discipline, and excellence,” Ulrich Teacher Mr. Joseph Leatham said. “Whether it's in the classroom or performing arts with her peers, Kayla has a mindset to thrive and be the best she can be.”
Student Ben excels in his studies, even taking advanced subjects; his grades are always on point, and he finishes his work early. He is an exceptional honor student and is also a dedicated student-athlete.
“He is a student who teachers love to have in class. On top of that, he is respectful and self-disciplined, and his positive attitude is contagious; because of that, he is well-liked by his peers,” Ulrich Teacher Jeer Cabahug said. “He consistently shows leadership and a strong work ethic both in the classroom and on the field.”
