Klein ISD is proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement by Klein Cain High School students Avery Elijah, Samuel Rosalez, and William Wilson, who earned first place at a prestigious state-level Automotive Dealers Association competition, outperforming more than 60 teams from across Texas.
The competition, hosted by the North Texas Automobile Dealers Association in partnership with the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation, was held at the Texas Motor Speedway. It brought together some of the most talented automotive students from both high schools and colleges statewide for a rigorous day of hands-on challenges.
Throughout the competition, teams were tested on advanced diagnostic and repair skills, as well as professional interview evaluations designed to reflect real-world industry expectations. Competing at such a high level, Avery, Samuel, and William demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, critical thinking, and professionalism.
“What these students accomplished reflects the value of real-world learning,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “Avery, Samuel, and William demonstrated the kind of excellence and professionalism that make us all proud to be part of our Klein Family. Their success is a reminder that when students are challenged and encouraged, they rise to meet the moment with purpose and pride.”
Their success is a reminder of the strength of Klein ISD’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, which prepare students with industry-relevant skills and real-world experience.
Behind every student achievement are educators who provide guidance and mentorship. Klein ISD is so proud to have educators like Klein Cain instructors Mr. Henry Silva and Mr. Ryan Frick, whose expertise and encouragement played a key role in preparing these students for competition at the highest level.
Students were fortunate to have the support of Parkway Chevrolet, whose partnership played an important role in the students’ success. Through a six-week internship, the dealership provided students with hands-on experience that prepared them for both regional and state competitions, and sponsored the team’s participation at the state level. This real-world exposure provided valuable insight into the automotive industry.
Congratulations to Avery, Samuel, William, and their teachers, families, and community partners on this incredible accomplishment. Klein ISD is proud to celebrate students who exemplify excellence, perseverance, and the power of career-focused learning.
