Five outstanding Klein ISD students have been awarded full four-year scholarships to elite colleges through the highly competitive QuestBridge National College Match program.

These amazing students include Santiago Manrique from Klein High, Johnathan Nguyen and Ahad Rahman from Klein Forest, and Ana-Nicole Toaca and Diana Villatoro from Klein Collins.

QuestBridge is a national nonprofit organization that connects high-achieving students with a thriving community and transformative educational, career, and life opportunities.

Through the 2025 National College Match, just 2,550 high school seniors nationwide were awarded full four-year scholarships from QuestBridge’s 55 college partners. These recipients were selected from more than 19,000 finalists, underscoring the exceptional achievement of the five Klein ISD students who earned this prestigious honor.

All five students received full scholarships to some of the nation’s most prestigious colleges, covering tuition, room and board, and other expenses, opening doors to life-changing opportunities.

Santiago Manrique, Emory University- Choosing to study Neuroscience

“Being awarded a QuestBridge National College Match scholarship brings endless opportunities to place my dreams into reality. Not having to worry about college finances not only makes my family better off, but it also opens infinite doors to explore my dreams more closely without being limited by cost. I am so thankful for the opportunity this scholarship brings; QuestBridge made me believe more in my possibilities and to not let the expense of education dictate my path. At Emory, I will pursue Neuroscience, with the dream of attending medical school to become a neurosurgeon. Every student deserves a chance at college, and QuestBridge allows me to explore and network with others like myself who once felt alone. To all those students who aspire to better our communities, I say to them: dream big.”

Johnathan Nguyen, Stanford University- Choosing to study Computer Science

"I am so grateful to my teachers and counselors who supported and encouraged me to 'reach for the stars' all throughout high school! I am very proud to receive this scholarship, knowing that all of my efforts and time spent after school were recognized!"

Ahad Rahman, Rice University- Choosing to study Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on medical devices

"QuestBridge has opened a door for me that I never would've imagined myself entering. The moment I opened my Rice application portal, I felt a sigh of relief. Relief that my future finances would be less burdened. Relief that I was chosen to achieve greatness in life, despite my latency. Life didn’t end when I failed my 3rd-grade English STAAR or when I felt behind and lost when transferring between school districts. It began when I understood the truth behind success: life doesn’t wait for you, nor does it carry you on its back. To succeed, you must be the one to light the spark within your soul. Set your heart ablaze. Go Beyond, Plus Ultra!”

Ana-Nicole Toaca, University of Pennsylvania- Choosing to study Business at the Wharton School

"I couldn't be more grateful to receive the Match Scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania. It truly feels surreal to know that I will be the first in my family to pursue a degree in the U.S. without financial stress. Future seniors, don't be afraid to pour your heart into your story. And to everyone who supported me along the way, thank you. Go Quakers!”

Diana Villatoro, Princeton University- Choosing to study Neuroscience

“The moment I opened my QuestBridge match letter in my AP Lit class, I was completely shocked. My friends said I looked terrified, and honestly, I was. I had prepared myself not to be matched, so seeing the confetti pop next to the Princeton logo felt unreal, much like a lucid dream. Honestly, I would say that receiving a full ride to Princeton has been and remains one of the most life-changing moments of my life. This scholarship to me truly feels like the culmination of everything I had worked for so far, every late night, every doubt, and every moment I felt I had to prove my worth, all leading into something bigger than I ever imagined. As a first-generation college student, this opportunity is not just a new chapter for me, but a reminder to my family and others that dreams this big are possible.”
