Two students and a teacher from French Elementary were honored at the March Board of Trustees meeting for their hard work and classroom success.

Outstanding French Elementary teacher Ms. Crystal Moncrief makes learning unforgettable for her students. She understands that building community matters just as much as building content knowledge and works to create a school environment that everyone is proud to be part of.

“She blends data-driven instruction with creativity in a way that drives results and builds joy in the classroom,” Principal Lisa Campbell said. “Her impact goes far beyond her class—she helps make learning joyful and fun across our school. We are so happy to have her as part of our Racer family.”

Student Nathan is one of those students who walks in excited to learn every single day. A natural leader, he sets a positive example for others and leads with kindness.

“He has this genuine desire to learn and wants to understand the ‘why’ behind every topic we cover,” teacher Ms. Jamison Crafts said. “Because of that, he’s helping me grow as a teacher as well. He is a wonderful example of excellence within both our school and district.”

Student Madison always focuses on completing her work and even offers to help others when she finishes. This ray of sunshine exemplifies the traits that are needed to help a classroom environment thrive.

“She is authentically kind to everyone,” teacher Ms. Marla Savoie said. “She has an incredible worker bee mentality and stays focused on her goals. We are truly grateful to have her as part of our Racer family.”

Congratulations again to Ms. Moncrief, Nathan, and Madison for being terrific examples of leadership in the Klein Family. You truly embody what it means to succeed and make us proud!
