Opening in Fall 2026, Texas Promise Academy will offer a tuition-free, no-voucher-needed, full-time virtual school for students in grades 6–12, serving students across the State of Texas.
Supported by the nationally recognized Klein Independent School District and taught by certified Texas teachers, Texas Promise Academy will provide an accessible, high-quality education designed to prepare students for success in an increasingly digital world. The program offers a dynamic curriculum focused on critical thinking, creativity, and academic rigor, ensuring students are well-equipped for college, careers, and future opportunities.
Three Flexible Program Options
Texas Promise Academy offers three flexible program options designed to meet the diverse needs of students and families.
The Full-Time Virtual Program provides a completely asynchronous online learning experience that allows students to choose when they work, progress at a pace that fits their learning style, and determine the order in which they complete assignments while remaining engaged in a rigorous curriculum.
The Flex Scheduling Program combines primarily online learning with opportunities for on-campus participation, allowing students to attend one to three in-person classes at their designated Klein ISD campus, including athletics, fine arts, career and technical education (CTE), or other elective offerings.
In addition, Supplemental Courses provide tuition-based online classes outside of the regular school day, allowing students to take up to two additional courses to accelerate learning, recover credit, or create flexibility in their schedule. Supplemental courses are available to both Texas Promise Academy students and traditional Klein ISD high school students.
Texas Promise Academy is currently accepting in-district applications through March 31, 2026. Out-of-district applications are open.
