Klein High senior and Salutatorian Sarah Nguyen is a dedicated scholar and servant leader whose compassion, curiosity, and commitment to helping others have shaped an outstanding high school journey. Sarah is a National Merit Commended Scholar, QuestBridge College Prep Scholar, Matchlighters Scholarship recipient, Matriculate Scholar, LEDA Semifinalist, EMERGE Scholar, and Future Doctors Academy Program participant. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Orchestra, Red Cross Club, STEMsters, HOSA-Future Health Professionals, Texas-Oklahoma Key Club, and the Suzuki Academy of Music as a pianist.

“It has been such a joy getting to know Sarah over the last few years. She is a role model who leads by example with quiet confidence,” Klein High Distinguished Educator Allen Peach said. “She’s exceptionally bright and incredibly kind. She is always the first to jump in whenever a classmate needs a hand.”

Clearly, Sarah is committed to being a well-rounded scholar who leads with purpose and heart. Through HOSA, she was a State Qualifier in Parliamentary Procedure after placing second at Area, and through Texas-Oklahoma Key Club, she earned the Key Club Global Leadership Certificate and served as a District Editor Candidate. Sarah also co-founded Medfyx, STEMsters, and MentorRx, reflecting her passion for service, leadership, and the medical field.

“As a student who transferred from another school district before my freshman year of high school, Klein ISD’s dedicated teachers and variety of lively clubs positively impacted my high school experience the most,” Sarah said. “Whether before, during, or after school, my teachers never hesitated to answer questions or provide in-depth clarification on topics, allowing me to excel despite my initial struggles. Additionally, with access to clubs like HOSA and Key Club, I was able to find my passion for community service and the medical field, leading me to pursue a career as a physician—a role focused on serving others day in and day out. The support I received from Klein ISD’s teachers and clubs shaped me into who I am today, and I would not have achieved all I have accomplished without Klein.”

Sarah’s leadership skills have shone throughout her time at Klein High and beyond. She served in multiple leadership roles with Texas-Oklahoma Key Club, including Secretary, 3N Lieutenant Governor, PR Chair, and Assistant District Secretary. She also served as HOSA Reporter, Red Cross Club Reporter, and Treasurer. Her heart for service is evident through her volunteer work with Our Lady of La Vang as a Teacher Assistant, Cy-Pain and Spine Clinic, Northchase Family Medical Clinic, Key Club, and HOSA. Sarah’s experiences in service and healthcare settings have helped guide her future path while allowing her to make a meaningful impact in her school and community.

Sarah plans to attend Rice University this fall, where she will major in Biosciences with a concentration in Cellular Biology and Genetics on the pre-med pathway.

We are in awe of this exemplary scholar and her heart for serving others. Sarah, your Klein Family is so proud of you, and we cannot wait to see you achieve your dreams and continue on your journey to becoming an amazing physician. Congratulations!
