As she prepares to walk the stage at Klein Memorial Stadium this week, Shiliane Kent has already achieved a milestone many college students are still working toward — earning her associate degree through the Klein Forest Global Business Program in partnership with Lone Star College.
The Klein Forest High School senior has built an impressive legacy defined by excellence in the classroom, on the basketball court, and in her community. This fall, Shiliane will continue her academic and athletic journey at Wayland Baptist University, where she plans to study Sports Marketing while playing collegiate basketball.
“These accomplishments mean so much to me,” Shiliane said. “They truly show the hard work that I have put in on and off the court. It was not the easiest, but it truly is a blessing all the time that I have invested in my education and my athletic journey.”
Shiliane leaves Klein Forest as one of the school’s most accomplished student-athletes in recent history. During her standout basketball career, she surpassed 1,000 career points, placing her among an elite group of athletes in school history. Her senior season alone produced more than 450 points, highlighting the consistency and determination that made her a leader on and off the court.
