Dear Klein Family,
On June 8, 2026, the Klein ISD School Board unanimously approved an employee pay raise for the 2026-2027 school year.
With sincere appreciation for our Klein Family, the 26-27 approved compensation underscores our continued shared priority: taking care of the people who take care of our students. Since 2019, Klein ISD employees have received annual pay raises, a sustained commitment for seven consecutive years that stands out when many districts have been unable to do the same for their staff.
Teachers and All Other Full-Time TRS-Eligible Employees will receive a pay increase of 3% of the 2025-2026 mid-point in each pay grade.
Additionally, for employees who take district health insurance, beginning Sept 1, 2026, Klein ISD will increase health care contributions by $62 per month for participating employees in order to help offset part of the increase from TRS Active Care that Klein ISD has no control over. Klein ISD will continue to advocate for more affordable healthcare options in the upcoming legislative session.
Continued Benefits for Our Employees
Unlimited 24/7 phone and online mental-health support for all employees and their families, plus three counseling visits at no additional cost.
A school calendar with regular breaks throughout the year and designated teacher workdays.
Payment for accumulated state and local leave upon retirement into TRS for employees with at least ten consecutive years of Klein ISD service immediately before retirement.
Longevity payments beginning in year 10 of consecutive service, equal to $25 per year of service, are awarded at each five-year milestone.
Board President Doug James said the Board wanted to continue to do its best to make sure staff are compensated for their expertise, loyalty, and leadership.
“In Klein ISD, our people are our greatest strength, and we will always prioritize investing in them,” shared Board President Doug James. “We are so grateful for your hard work and commitment to our students and Klein ISD.”
Our Board, Dr. McGown, and our Klein ISD community could not be more grateful for the dedication shown to our students and schools each day. Should you have any questions regarding your compensation, please feel free to contact us at Connect2HR.
