Klein ISD is proud to celebrate three campuses that have earned the prestigious designation of Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) at Work Schools: Kleb Intermediate, Klein Intermediate, and Mahaffey Elementary.

Model PLC schools are recognized nationally for creating systems that ensure all students learn at high levels and receive the support they need to succeed. The achievement was recognized during the September Board Meeting, where school leaders and staff representatives were honored for their dedication to student success.

“These schools have embraced a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement that keeps student learning at the center of every decision,” Klein ISD Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning Stacy Kindsfather said. “Their commitment to learning together, using data to drive instruction, and supporting every student's success is truly worth celebrating.”

Professional Learning Communities focus on collaborative, job-embedded learning for educators. Through regular teamwork, data analysis, and shared responsibility for student outcomes, PLCs create a culture where educators continuously refine their practices and support one another in meeting students’ needs.

Kleb Intermediate’s recognition is especially noteworthy, as the school has now earned Model PLC status for the second time, highlighting its commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative excellence.

The three schools join a distinguished group of Klein ISD campuses that have previously earned Model PLC recognition, including Benignus Elementary, Klein High School, Krahn Elementary, Krimmel Intermediate, Metzler Elementary, Nitsch Elementary, Theiss Elementary, and Zwink Elementary.
