Klein ISD -

Ctat District of Distinction

Klein, Texas – October 2026 – Klein Independent School District has been named a CTE District of Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas (CTAT)—one of only 33 school districts in Texas to earn the CTAT CTE District of Distinction designation for three consecutive years.

The CTE District of Distinction honor celebrates Texas school districts that demonstrate exemplary leadership, innovation, and commitment to student success through high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Honored districts serve as models of excellence, fostering workforce readiness and inspiring others through their dedication to innovation and community impact.

“I am incredibly proud of our Klein ISD team for being named a CTAT CTE District of Distinction for the third consecutive year,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “This recognition is especially meaningful because it affirms the important role our schools play in building a strong pipeline from education to high-demand careers, connecting our students directly to the jobs and opportunities that will shape their futures and strengthen our local and state economy. For three consecutive years, our teachers, counselors, administrators, and industry and community partners have worked intentionally to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences, industry credentials, and career pathways that prepare students to graduate ready to contribute, succeed, and lead. This honor reflects our commitment not only to the future of every Klein ISD student, but also to developing the skilled workforce our communities and economy will depend on for years to come.”

Klein ISD’s Career & Technical Education programs continue to demonstrate broad student participation and measurable success in preparing students for college and career success. Approximately 26,000 students in grades 7–12 participate in CTE programs across the district, including more than 83% of all high school students and more than half of students in grades 7–8.
