Klein Forest High School has been recognized as a 2026 Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) at Work® School by Solution Tree, earning National recognition for its commitment to improving student achievement and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
“We are incredibly proud of the tremendous growth in academic achievement at Klein Forest High School over the past several years. This progress reflects the dedication of educators who believe in every student’s potential and work together to help them succeed,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “One of our greatest privileges as educators is entering into the stories of young people and helping them write an even better story for their futures. Klein Forest’s success is powerful proof that academic excellence is possible for every student when surrounded by caring, dedicated educators who are supported, work collaboratively, and are united in their commitment to student success. Congratulations to the entire Klein Forest team on this well-deserved recognition!”
The prestigious designation recognizes approximately 600 schools and districts across the United States and Canada that demonstrate a sustained commitment to the Professional Learning Communities at Work® process. Schools must meet rigorous criteria, including implementing PLC practices for at least three years and providing clear evidence of improved student learning.
“This recognition is a reflection of the incredible teachers, specialists, and support staff who show up every day committed to giving every kid a chance at life,” Klein Forest High School Principal Lance Alexander said. “At Klein Forest, our hard work, dedication, and love for our students are at the heart of everything we do.”
As a Model PLC at Work® School, Klein Forest joins a distinguished group of educational institutions recognized for their commitment to high levels of learning for all students. Model PLC schools in Klein ISD include Benignus Elementary, Klein High School, Krahn Elementary, Krimmel Intermediate, Metzler Elementary, Nitsch Elementary, Theiss Elementary, and Zwink Elementary. Recognized schools share their practices, strategies, and results through Solution Tree’s AllThingsPLC platform, helping other educators learn from successful approaches to school improvement.
Congratulations, Golden Eagles, on this achievement. Your #KleinFamily is proud of the students, teachers, specialists, support staff, and school leaders for their collective dedication to continuous improvement and student success.
