Marcus Hampu, a student in the Medical Sciences College Program at Klein High School, is already turning his passion for healthcare into purpose. Through hands-on training and clinical experiences, Marcus is gaining real-world insight into what it means to care for others.
💬 “The first time I put on my medical scrubs, I promised myself I would use my hands to help, comfort, and lead. Through the Medical Sciences College Program, that promise has started to become real.”
From the classroom to clinical rotations, students like Marcus are building the skills—and heart—needed for the future of healthcare. 🩺💙

For Accounting & Financial Services teacher LeTreal Ballinger, the most rewarding moments happen when everything clicks for his students. 💡💰
“Initially, many students are unsure about the benefits of the program,” Ballinger said. “But after experiencing two business cycles and understanding the job opportunities available after just one year, their understanding deepens.”
Through hands-on learning and real-world experience — including preparing personal tax returns through the VITA program — students see firsthand how accounting connects to everyday life. “They come to realize these are essential skills."
From classroom concepts to real community impact, Mr. Ballinger is helping Klein Oak students build confidence, career readiness, and financial literacy that will last a lifetime. 💙
